About the Sedgley School of Black Belts
The School of Black Belts first expanded from its Oldbury headquarters in April 2009 and opened the new martial arts branch in Sedgley. We tried to create the same atmosphere and the same unique feeling students had experienced at our main school. People thought we couldn’t do it…but they were wrong! Ask any student who has trained at our Sedgley martial arts school and who has frequently trained at our headquarters and they will tell you nothing has changed – it is the instructors and students that make the school, not the building.
The dance studio in the Dormston Centre is a warm, clean hall ideally suited for our type of kickboxing and MMA training. We have matted flooring for children’s safety as well as to practice our ground work. Classes have grown from one class to three classes per training night.
Our Sedgley students quite often train at our Oldbury headquarters as well as at our latest Kingswinford school. This gives all our students a chance to train with each other, irrespective of their usual training base and helps bring a feeling of group membership to the School of Black Belts. We also hold special seminars at our headquarters to explore in-depth the aspects of our martial arts system which all branches are invited to attend.
Our students are graded every 3 month (beginner grade) and every 6 months (advanced grades) and these are held at our Oldbury headquarters. Special events are held and guest instructors invited at the graduation to help make the day a little bit more special. Family and friends are also invited to see the students graduate.

We provide kickboxing and martial arts classes at the Sedgley School of Black Belts at the following times:

Sedgley Kids Martial Arts Classes
We provide karate, kickboxing and martial arts classes for kids of all ages at the Sedgely School of Black Belts at the following times:
Mondays
Little Tigers (3 to 5 yrs) – 4.15pm to 5.00pm
Little Ninjas (4 to 6yrs) – 5.00pm to 5.45pm
7 to 11 yrs – 5.45pm to 6.30pm
Advanced kids – 6.30pm to 7.15pm
Wednesday
Little Ninjas (4 to 6yrs) – 5.00pm to 5.45pm
7 and above kids – 5.45pm to 6.30pm
